  • I don't think we hit a bird. I was sitting just inside that plane when the engine blew up. Fire started, but the fire supression system worked like a charm. Thanks for the video, as I had no idea how much damage there was the underside of the engine.

    Brings back memory's of an exciting trip for sure! :)

  • Ya el Avión está descansando en Paz en Cuba. Cubana de Aviación lo retiró de su flota. lo enviaron con tres motores a la Havana. ahora se está utilizando el nuevo TU-204, que por cierto tiene un excelente despegue ese avion. casi vertical.

  • Esto le ocurrió al vuelo 5055 de Polish Airlines el cual terminó en una terrible catástrofe en la que todos murieron. Esta gente tubo suerte.

  • @av21031 This plane was manufactured in 1990 so at 18 wasn't that old. The same refers to CU-T1284- they were both from 53rd batch- one of the last batches. Had they been retired ages ago, they would have been quite new, don't you think? The other remaining airworthy Il-62M is 23 years old.

    To bad this one didn't crash... you would have been blaming somebody else again.

    But this time is clear that you are a piece of shit engineers, and you should have taken a blame for at least two fatal crashes suffered by LOT Polish Airlines.

    Very similar thing happened there, but you blamed the Pilot error.

  • @MrKamike Ten akurat samolot został wyprodukowany dwa lata po katastrofie w Lesie Kabackim a zatem pewne zmiany konstrukcyjne mogły być w nim wprowadzone. No i największą różnicą jest to, że w kadłub uderzyły łopatki sprężarki, a nie dysk turbiny. Łopatki są mniejsze, w związku z czym powodują mniejsze zniszczenia.
