I have one... I bought him at 1inch long. He lived with two Oscars around 10inches, a rainbow pike 12inches, a red devil 10 inches... he got along great with them...then when he was about two inches long... I heard a bunch of commotion around 3 am. I went out to see what was going on, expecting to find someone robbing me...it was him...he killed them all... now he has a 120 gal tank to himself... he bites me too

they dont look fullt grown mine is 50cm.....as in 20 inches hes 12 yrs old living with american like devils abd dovi in a 8 x 3 x 3 tank

at this size they are very aggressive. i had them in an 8ft x 2.5ft x2ft roughly 1150 litres and still they killed every thing in the tank, red devils, 5 dovii, and umbee all nearly the same size as the hornets. they never back down and when they get the upper hand its all over so be careful when putting these guys in a community tank
