surreal e-card.

this came out of a 'make a postcard for an unexpected location' brief for uni. it had to be some kind of greeting. nobody really sends postcards or e-cards anymore but people do start conversations with oh my god i had a dream about you last night and go into every deliriously boring detail about it right down to the 'and it felt so real'.

it's hand drawn and only about 26 frames but i collaged it and it took bloody ages.

am making a similar thing!! It's also a card (animated card) for a uni project, and it's funny because I'm also making some sort of collage.. But, jeeeez, I know what you mean!!! I don't know whyyy, oh, whyy on earth did I thought about collage!? (I wanted to try cut-outs) It's taking an eternity.

Yours looks amazing, though :D. Inded, very surreal!!!

ah cool! what are you studying, animation? i'm in a graphic design course at the moment but this was done during my foundation. collaging frames together takes the most ridiculous amount of time but if you look at like jeff scher's work, which is amazing, it could be totally worth it. maybe. i want to try something like this again though. good luck with yours!
