This song came to me in a dream last week after listening to my 80's collection. It took me a while to remember the lyrics and I had to Google them to find the name of the song. I'm so glad I did! I remember exactly where I was when I first heard it. I was laying on the living room floor listening to my boombox and I taped it. LOL. Great song!

Great song that i remember after all these years, even though they don't play it on the radio...why not!!! I just tried to buy this on Itunes and no luck....great song, thanks for sharing it. I'm very sad he had to fight cancer, it's a hard way to go.
Very original lyric hook, that's really unforgettable!

i was a Disc Jockey at our High School Radio Station in the 80's, I always loved this song and i knew who the artist was, but this was really the only big song from him that i ever heard. i always wondered why we never heard from him again. it was a passionate song and he did it so well.

I am Van's younger brother. I know he would appreciate that you like his music. I remember those early years flying back and forth from Nashville to LA. He told me a story of being at a party in LA and tripped on a carpet and landed up in Robin Williams lap. Robin said "people are always falling all over me". Oh well, Van loved life and was not ready to leave. Fought his cancer till the end.
