http://www.survivalnewsonline.com -- SnoMan demonstrates how to open a Cold Steel Ti-Lite. This is the 6-inch version. Of all the Cold Steel deployment methods, this one is by far the coolest one known to man.

  • Even in state or city where there is no blade length, being able to flick a folding knife open like that makes it illegal to possess in most places. If a cop were to stop you and look at the knife and he was able to flick it open like that, you could be arrested and your knife confiscated. Better to keep the blade just tight enough so that it can't be flipped open with a jerk of the wrist. The little jimped extension that is on the blade above the opening post can be used to open the knife fast.

  • @mkeulr Actually I'm not aware of *any* place where that makes it illegal.

  • @SNOmultimedia

New York - Penal Law Section 265.01

    5. "Gravity knife" means any knife has blade which is released from the handle or sheath thereof by the force of gravity of the application of centrifugal force which, when released, is locked in place by means of a button, spring, lever, or other device. [Note: In NYC, and potentially in other NY jurisdictions, this definition is construed to apply to ANY folding knife with a blade that locks open. ]

  • @superslomoe Wow, any locking blade illegal. I thought I was beyond being surprised by the extent of oppressive government. That's a valuable bit of info -- glad to have you among our viewers!

  • @SNOmultimedia In NY, but mostly NYC the definition is so vague that a lot of knives are illegal under what is considered a gravity knife, great vids though, subscribed!

  • sniper is spy!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mkeulr That is not illegal. Assisted open knives are totally legal even in California and this one isn't even assisted.
