Despite all its problems, I'm proud to live in a country that can elect a black president.

Actually, isn't that a remarkable statement about...Affirmative Action?

@psyoptic now you speak as a fellow human not as a "American" ,but a human that happens to live in a place called America

There aren't many other countries that have the (geographical) diversity we do.
-
@roobend Actually yes, because legally every citizen no matter creed, color, or sex has the same rights as every other American.

America loves everyone. America as an idea is so great that it doesn't matter where you currently reside. "American" to me isn't correct. It's not an "American" thing for people to want to do what they want and be who they are. To everyone in Great Britain and Europe, Russia, and Everyone everywhere... We see you as brothers, sisters, countrymen, and above all, Friends. Politics is terrible and it has turned the world against itself. I, from America love you and we are all the same.

@roobend Nobody likes mr. Half glass empty

Wow, that was powerful.
The USA. Surely the only country on earth where constantly pointing out the differences between themselves is in some way promoting the idea that they are all unified.
