  • Soon uncle sam will control your healh care. Really? what is healh care?

  • What program did you use to make this?

  • @skatelongboards

You lost me? did you mean after studying it you see why people thought it's creation was a good thing?

  • after studying this i can see why people thought repealing this would be good but it acutely spawned alot worse things. This amendment erased a powerful check on the federal government and now states instead of being controlled by there states are controlled by lobbyist.

  • @harryhaller6920 But yes, the 17th amendment needs to go, but more importantly the 16th needs to go, and Ch. 6, 38 Stat. 251-257 need to go. 1913 was not a great year for the republic.

  • @harryhaller6920 Yeah that was a typo

I meant "Where by a set of laws protect the individual from the MAJORITY." Just a typo. Caught it just after i pressed the post button. I didn't say that the US was based on the Athenian democracy, but loosely on a roman republic. Philosophically speaking, yes they where heavily influenced by classical liberals. John Locke's ideas set the stage for classical liberals, such as Rousseau, but when it came down to setting up a gov. they chose a republic.

  • @asleeperj The founding fathers intended on a Republic that protects the minority from the MAJORITY.

You have it the other way around, which is false.

They sought guidence from Humbolt and Rousseau, NOT the Greeks or the Romans.

THE MINORITY has usurped the power of the majority in this case (1% of our population owns everything).

What will you have left if this is not rectified? You need to read a real history of our country and not this

    revisionist reactionary 'history.'

  • @harryhaller6920 You must have something in order to lose it. A democracy is mob rule, where a majority can gain control of a minority's property. The US was set up as a constitutional republic. Where by a set of laws protect the individual from the minorities. Democracy's always fall into a statist governments. The founding fathers knew history, and new that a Greek type democracy wouldn't work, instead they designed a roman style republic. Republics only last a short time, ours has ended.

  • Capitalism and Democracy are opposing theorys.

This is the next step to turn the US into more of an evil empire of authoritarian control.

We lost democracy a few years ago, here come the christian taliban and the business fascists to funish the job.

  • @rentslave

    You are an idiot!

Educate yourself or commit suicide and do the world a favor.
