It's graduation day for Drew University professor Kesha Moores all-girls Inside-Out class at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton, NJ. Dayna Nicholson is among the inmates in the class who will graduate at the womens prison in Hunterdon County, where college students and inmates learn together. The class is part of the national Inside-0ut Prison Exchange Program, which joins students and prisoners to explore the justice system behind prison walls. Moores class is delves into issues that affect female prisoners. The "inside" students are minimum security inmates, range in age, and their crimes range from murder to drug offenses, though they are discouraged to talk about their offenses in class.
Awesome! Despite past mistakes, these individuals have decided to take steps to change their lives for the better. Congrats to Dayna Nicholson and all the other ladies who have kept on trucking!

@drusila88 You call your disgrace a set of "experiences" and "opened horizons"?
That's what I call a real couple of euphemisms for what you really get.

This is Dayna Nicholson, reporting an update for any one who wishes to follow up with this video.
I am out of prison and off parole. i AM enrolled in online college and am working towards my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Social Science.
I am living proof that the cycle of recidivism CAN be broken, and that regardless what anyone does in their past, they can make changes for the greater good of their future.
