  • @ebilly99 "Deiesm There is a god (force) but does not care"

That's one description. Another one is to focus on what some deists focus on, namely that there would have been a kind of "purpose" or "intelligence" behind the creation of the universe. The atheistic/naturalistic view of that topic would be that intelligence has only been observed in quite recent time (on a cosmological time scale), and reusing that type of terminology for the beginning of our universe is misleading.

  • Just an idea: Instead of using the pronoun "he" for the deistic god, why not use "it"?

After all, the emergence of different sexes (two, four, or whatever) is quite recent on the cosmological time scale. Using "he" confuses the deistic god with the theistic god (the "space monster" style god which has visited humans specifically on this planet in recent history, with a particular interest in human sex life and weird punishments). Since English has a non-gender-based pronoun, why not use it?

  • Deism is the fastest growing "eism" in America. And yes many deists actually can pray to God, and some Deists believe in miracles, but they don't believe it happens on a day to day basis. Deism would consider the big bang, the process of evolution, and abiogenesis to be a miracle.

  • @MrHead1972 LOOOL

  • @botanybabe08 you are so fuckin hot

  • I'm a Christian Deist which means I Love and Respect both God and his "son" Jesus

because Jesus was conceived by the Virgin Mother Mary which proves that on other one gave life to Jesus but God.I believe in heaven hell and the purgatory.

but I don't believe that we should pray for blessing.because prayer is the way of appreciation to god. I don't follow traditions of christianity. I only follows the good deeds that the bible tells and that is to love one another as Jesus did to his acusers

  • I'm atheist, and my probelm is not with the deists or agnostics. Some can be assholes like the guy below me, but from what i've seen they seem like a decent group of people. I don't have a problem with anyone's beliefs really, not even with Christianity,Islam, or Judaism. I just wish people would stop pushing their views on other people.
