The third and last of the Felix the Cat arrangements: Face to the Wind.
This song took much, much longer to put together than the other two, so it's appropriate that it took so long to produce the video. And it's in colour!
I tried my very hardest to get it as close to the original as possible. It's at a fairly accurate tempo, all the notes are in the correct pitch, the saxophone is intact, although several parts had to be improvised because people kept bloody talking/the scene changed/someone didn't want us to hear it all.

This song is one of the best from the film. Yes, "Who Is The Boss" is my favourite, but this one is incredibly close. I'm sure many people who saw the film will remember this one.

The green ghosting effect on Felix is a problem I found when slowing down a chroma-keyed clip. I can't get rid of it.
Oh, and Oriana has an anime face in this video, due to the fact that her original face is creepily realistic and goes straight into Uncanny Valley.

The original song is copyright of Don Oriolo and Felix The Cat Creations Music Inc.
Arrangement is copyright of TurboJ Productions. Do not use without permission.

  • You did a good job, but you are off by a pitch.

  • @MysticArksRevenge It's because I chose to have the piano as the lead instrument. I tried shifting the pitch up on it, and it sounded completely off, so I just decided it was better like this.

    Thanks though.

Also, for some reason I mainly heard it in this pitch. Only after reading this did I notice it was originally higher. Hmmm...

  • @TurboJUK No, no, the pitch was originally lower in the original movie than the one you currently have in the video.

  • @MysticArksRevenge Really? Sounds fine to me.

  • @TurboJUK I will send you a link to the original song, then compare it with your version, OK?

  • @MysticArksRevenge Mmmmm, still not hearing it.

Let's just call this my interpretation, given that there's no CD quality version to compare it with.

  • Great work!!!

  • I really appreciate that you did a remix for this. Even if it is off-pitch, I like it

  • @MusicAngel05 Can I ask you a question? What kind of pitch or keys are used on some of the Games on the Sega Genesis? I will send you a video of one of them.

  • @MysticArksRevenge Cool! Yeah, some videos on this website are higher in pitch, too.

  • @MusicAngel05 Yes.

  • @MysticArksRevenge i know what you're talking about. this version is in A minor and the original is in A flat minor, right? :) I know because I have perfect pitch.

  • I like this, great job!

  • @iceman27406 Not. Funny.

  • do you have an Mp3 of this?

  • @TurboJUK Oh, OK.
