Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 Failure to Eject (UPDATE: View Video Response of Post-Repair Performance)

Sent my M&P 15-22 back to Smith & Wesson today along with this video. After experiencing ejection problems during my first trip to the range, I returned with 6 different types of ammunition and a video camera. Magazine was loaded with 4 - 5 rounds of each type for the video. Only once was I able to get 4 clean shots using CCI Stinger. I reloaded with 10 Stingers and well ... look at the video and see the results.

I received my repaired rifle today. The comment on the repair sheet stated " REPAIRED: Updated to latest spec". After 2 hours and 100's of rounds shot at the range today, I am a very happy camper. This is awsome rifle. I want to publically compliment Smith & Wesson for their excellent customer service. Not only did I get the rifle back in 3 weeks ... they also provided me with 2 additional magazines. The accompanying video documents how well this rifle functions.

I see your last response regarding reliability was 4 months back. Are you still satisfied with the rifle after Smith looked it over?

when i saw your spent round it looked like your firing pin was off. correct me if im wrong. that usually happends if you dry fired your firearm too much. i have the same rifle and ive fired atleast 300 rounds and never had this problem?

It was never dry fired. The problem was "out of the box" first time at the range.

I love this gun but I'm also having the same problems you did. How did you ship this back to S&W (What box or case did you use?) Thanks!

Mine had the same problem. Sent it back to S&W they gave me a new clip and I noticed the bolt spring is now blue. 300 rounds later not a single miss-fire. Also Don't use hollow points in a Semi-Auto rifle.

you need to use some pliers and push the extracting pin in a little so the shells eject, i had the same problem with my m&p15-22

I have 2 of these. I bought one and it kept jamming ft extract several different types of ammo. I sent it back and smith changed out a spring or extractor. Very fast turn around.

I bought another one for my son. These are great. Go to my YouTube and see it with a custom integral suppressor from innovative arms. Bad ass. Like a staple gun. No jamming either
