What if there is no infection but the fluid won't go away. My son had an inner ear infection at 6 months and the infection cleared up with antibiotics but the fluid is still there. He seems to hear fine and is saying a few words at 11 months now but my Dr said he should get tubes next month if by then there is no change. I'm nervous and worried it could cause damage.
