Ah think this whole animal rights movement is actually run by the polis. They seem tae get a load of overtime out of it. Get a few students and other impressionable folk own side an ye have a campaign that geys ye hunners of overtime claims rollin in.

Promoting AR? So answer my other question, why after years of protest you've made so little progress?. Compare yourselves with the anti smoking lobby.

Is calling anyone who comments on your motives or actions "an idiot" or "stupid" going to help? This is the confrontational approach I referred to earlier.

Finally could you please explain the comment ".. that if some of the animals that i defend .. were in the room "  Did having a go at the Policeman do anyhting for them?

I don't think it's stupidity to question the effectiveness of your protest methods. Compare the progress you've made against that of the anti smoking campaign over a similar time-scale.

Ask yourself if you couldn't have achieved more and whether your confrontational approach has achieved as much you hoped it would

When i engaged the services of a lawyer who had considerable expertise .. the custody sergeant saw the error of his ways .. and reluctantly released me ..

Have you ever tried talking to a person who campaigns for the wellbeing of animals?

My guess is that you haven't .. hence the stupidity that you are displaying now!!

It gains absolutely nothing when you are detained in the custody suite ..against your will .. when you haven't even committed a criminal act ..

I pleaded my innocence when i was brought into custody and i had evidence to prove that fact ..

The custody sergeant didn't give a shit about me .. all he wanted was a conviction ..

But what does it gain you - winding up the Police - does this advance your cause, or just give you a chance to show off in front of your lawyer .

Perhaps you could have won the sergeant over to your point of view and gained another convert, but unfortunately you missed the opportunity.

Instead he probably has told his family and friends what happened and you've lost a few more potential supporters.

Do you care about the animals or is the whole protest thing just an ego trip?
