@neomysterio See but thats your opinion and its fine to have an opinion but there is absolutely no need to call a product a gimmick. Have you ever used an iPad and see what it is capable of? You are just an Apple hater so just keep the negative comments to yourself.

Yes, the iPad is multitasking Safari, Mail, installing new programs from AppStore, and iPod player. If you use Spirit and install SBSettings you will see what programs are running simultaneously. Also you can make more programs run in the background like Pandora or Spotify.

@moose0422 what you are calling a bug is exactly what i want an ipad to do. hopefully ipad3 will allow real multitasking

Actually, it's a bug, because Safari only plays audio in the background. Videos get paused when you exit Safari.

yap...all original apple apps runs in background.

Safari always runs in the background... it did on the iphone also before 4.0

@neomysterio Seriously, why would look for this video, only to bash on a product. The iPad isn't meant to replace a laptop, it's only meant for a certain amount of people who want a mobile tablet device. The iPad is great for me and I don't have to troll on the Internet at cluncky windows computers. PS. You can run windows on a Mac. Dumbass.

Isn't iOS 4 out for the iPad now and doesn't that essentially allow you to multitask?

eBuddy will still make you logged in if you do that stuff aswell, it must be a problem that the iPad has to fix. I'm gettin the iPad but I want to wait for the next gen to come out because if I get it now I wont be able to get another iPad but I can't wait

@moose0422 so how did they get that error
Safari, iPod and Mail applications can stay up in the background officially. This is the way your iPod keeps playing music or your mail application keeps fetching new updates. This has been official since the first release date. Many radio websites have used this as multitasking features to play music on Safari and then let the user multitask

@se7ene1evenster This actually turned out to be a bug because it never worked again. I don't believe Safari runs in the background though because there really isnt any need for it to.
