Greets All, again this video shows more of the preparation of the casting flasks using lost foam (pink insulation from Home Depot) to make up some gift plaques and of course we pour a few more skulls. I try to show the setup of the flasks as wellas some of the good old fire breathing furnace along with the smoke and fume belching pourings...a good way to spend a little free time. Please visit the webpage at www.MarksWorx.com and click on the furnace link...hope you like them!!!

  • you did a terrible job on the 2nd plaque, first you clearly did not pour enough, not only that you stopped pouring went back to the first and then began pouring in the 2nd one againt which is a no no.

  • @amaedesign They are foam. You can get them at wal mart. The sand creates a cast around it.

  • How do you make the letters? Are they wax, or....?

  • Nice! I've done this with petrobond, but perhaps I'll try your way with loose sand. Certainly would be faster!

Great job editing the video. Floating salt package at 3:38 was great!

Do you ever have problems with sand in your casting due to the sand that gets into the top of your foam gate like at 2:17?
