Film pokazuje dwa miejsca w Tunezji, w których George Lucas kręcił sceny do swojego filmu "Gwiezdne wojny". Jednym z tych miejsc był berberyjski ksar Hadada, drugim wioska Matmata, gdzie znajdują się skalne, podziemne domy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ksar Hadada is a ksar in southeastern Tunisia. Along with two other ksar's around Tataouine, Ksar Hadada was filmed for Mos Espa's Slave Quarters in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
Matmâta or Metmata is a small Berber speaking town in southern Tunisia. Some of the local Berber residents live in traditional underground "troglodyte" structures.
The structures typical for the village are created by digging a large pit in the ground. Around the perimeter of this pit artificial caves are then dug to be used as rooms, with some homes comprising multiple pits, connected by trench-like passageways.
