Being my major in college IS in science, I can honestly say that if you keep an open mind in both science and religion, they absolutely coexist. (my degree seeking status- astrophysics/cog neuroscience, in case you were wondering). It's really not a stretch but I'm not gonna sit here and try to convince you. That's not my job. it's your job to research (pose a hypothesis) and come to your own conclusion based on what you research. Like scientists are supposed to do with everything.

"Rupert Sheldrake - The Science Delusion | London Real " .youtube.com/watch?v=OqaATPAnTZQ In centuries to come an advanced society mayl look at our current science and be mystified why we made so little progress, clunging to quaint dogmatic beliefs that contradicted all the available evidence! Yet anybody honest enough to question these ridiculous dogmas, is shunned & excluded by the Great All Knowing Science-Club High Priesthood, (Richard Feinman detested them all as an elitist heirarchy!

An Atheist doesn't need to know science. They only need to know that a scientific theory has grounds and is peer reviewed. Last time I checked there were no lab testable ways to prove or even theorize God under the scientific method. Good for you for knowing Physics I hope you continue to learn more about it each day so tomorrow you know something that you didn't know today or two months ago when you wrote it. Ask yourself you do you know more know about science than you did 2 months ago.

@frank castle - I think you're missing the point here... When one uses the term "science", they may be referring to something that spans a bit broader than a smelly classroom containing Bunsen burners...
