This is how to play "Breathe" out of key of G. To play higher for singing in higher key put capo on 2 for key A, or capo on fret 4 for key B. Also if you want to play in key of A you can play with this chord progression: A D A D A E F#m D E for the verses and A E F#m D E for the chorus

In this key I am playing it in the chords are: (intro, verse) G C G C G Em C D (x2) and for the (chorus) G D Em C D

Now you can add a few chords in there, watch some of the other people playing for the timing of the changes, but the chords would be like this:

(Verse) the # in ( ) is the number of beats to play that chord: G(4) C(4) G(4) C(4) G(2) D(2) Em (2) D(2) C(2) Em(2) D(4)

For the chorus it will be like this with the new added chords not in the video: G(2) D(2) Em (2) D(2) C(2) Em(2) D(4)

  • .....to tense your stomach muscles - this is natural, but start off relaxed. I know that you are a little self conscious about your vioce at the moment - huge ups to you for worshipping God with what you have, but I believe God wants to give you more, and you have a great voice in there, it just needs to find it's way out. Just like your guitaring takes practice, so does using your voice for singing. Try to sing from deeper than the throat or nose - you'll get it, I know you will! Blessings

  • thanks

  • Hi Mike, bro, firsty I'd like to thank you for your lessons, they are done very well.....so thank you and well done! Secondly, I would like to help you, if I may, it is actually ironic that this is the song I'm going to try to help you on.......when you sing, try to relax your stomach rather than tensing it, then try to take a deepish breath and singing more from your diaphram and slowly exhaling at the same time, you will find that you will slowly or gradually start ....

  • thank you for your ideas, I will definitely try it!

  • Hey Smitty ... I really want to thank you for you the time you put into helping us learn to play worship music. I'm sure it means just as to everyone else as I know it does to me. I really appreciate the way you teach and realize that a lot of us are truly just beginning. (Greetings from Germany!) - a brother in Christ

  • hey, i'm glad it helps, take care!
