  • Darkest of Days - buy PhysX-ready card for LEAVES! ITS SO DAM COOOL TO HAVE LEAVES IN OUR DAM GAME!

  • @SuperEvilSquid

It's not a marketing scheme though.

It geuinely improves games (i've used physx in games).

And why not just get an NVIDIA card then? They win all the benchmarks, and sure the ATI cards have a little less power usage but does that matter, or your game performance?

  • Yes, people have the wrong idea about what PhysX is.. NVidia has the ability to read those shaders by default, but guess what.... There are drivers that even ATI can use to do the same thing. Example, I play Crysis 2 on both the GTX 560 and the ATI R6870 Hawk edition ( Both of which are equal to each other, but ATI costs less ) and the ATI card looks no different then the NVidia counter part. They both play the same. I can even install the PhysiX drivers on ATI cards. NVidia makes it for both.

  • @TheBuzzlin I am an Nvidia fanboy I would say, and I totally agree. You shouldn't think physx should change your idea for buying a video card. And really most games I can't even tell the difference save a few. Like Batman Arkham City. CAUSE IT HAS FOG!

  • GUYS LISTEN:

If you want to buy an ATI Card and they say you can't play any game on it because it has no physics, don't believe them.

There are totally 26!! Games which just support Physx, you shouldn't buy an NVIDIA card just because of Physx, just saying...

  • soo... let me get this straight! those "effects" are nothing new, BUT, developers use PhysX to put them into the game so NVidia can put theyr brend on the game, and if you don't use NVidia you just don't get all that graphics you could because they said so? thats just sad =/ Anyways it's not NVidias fault, they are just doing they'r job, I hate the game developers for this! =s I'm not a NVidia or AMD fanboy, I use AMD but I rly like PhysX!

  • @0EEVV0 you mean the brand new amd cards, that beat nvidias older generations highest card by a few frames here and there, nvidia will release there next gen here in a few weeks and they will be back ontop, but for a price.

  • @dontranes1 it also adds smoke and major debri from explosions aswell, but yes the leaves made me laugh

  • @XxGMasterxX Yeah! That would be soo cool!

  • @Heaney5551 lol new ati haz better benchmarks (i think)

  • @SlapsYourShit yeh i skipped the grammr stuff lol :P

  • @crazychainsaw007 Well yeah, it is the first in the next generation of GPUs, it's going to beat the old generation.

Your only choice for Physx is to either wait for a price drop or for Nvidia's new GPU line, but they're going to be extremely expensive. You could always get a 7970 and then a 470 as a dedicated Phsyx card, which might even be cheaper.
