He does a disco bump with the goal post...ah the 70's.

ahh the good old days were both teams wore dark jerseys

I met him today :D he came to my school

People here are calling for Tressel's head and its not warranted. Since Tres came hes had two weak links, O line coach and O coordinator and they happen to be the same person. When he stops hiring family and friends they will be ok. Tressel is the best coach since Woody and wins 80% of his games and they want him fired? As far as respect I respect every team except one....Miami..thugs that cant spell their name. Crack down on academics and they will lose half of their team.

I have never lived in the heartland. Point taken.

Agree with you on that last point, for sure. I have a great deal of respect for Jim Tressel and the job he's done at tOSU. I wouldn't say that the Buckeyes are my favorite team, or anything like that, but I respect them, which is more than I can say about my feelings for Miss-again. My two favorite Big Ten football teams, however, are Iowa's and Penn State's. But I respect tOSU and I have no beef when they win the Big Ten.

I think there's some truth to this. Good point.

Look....when we played USC we usually played against one the top teams if not the team in the country. All I am saying if it wasnt for the distractions the outcomes could have been different. You cant compare flying an hour from the west coast to flying out from some cornfield. Sorry there just isnt the same feel and if you never lived in the heartland you will never know what its like to go see the promised land. Now going south isnt as much as a big deal. The Big Ten is 14-13 vs SEC in bowls.

Factor in travel and the fact that we midwestern boys have never even been to CA or dreamed about it. Remember airfare was expensive then and only the privileged got to go somewhere exotic like LA....if you can call it exotic. Now the only other team you can be talking about is Washington and yes they kicked butt with Warren Moon. Now when the Big Ten was FAR superior to the Pac Eight it wasnt as big of factor but when things became even it showed. excuse yes, lame maybe, USC-OSU still big draw
-
Yeah, I've heard that excuse by the Big Ten more times than I could count. Sounds pretty lame, to me. I mean, okay, sure, *MAYBE* there's some truth to it when you're talking about Big Ten teams playing USC or UCLA. But what about the years when they played a (then-)Pac-8 team that WASN'T from the L.A. area (and still lost)? Seems to me that the trip to Pasadena would be no more of a "vacation" for those Big Ten teams than it would be for those non-L.A. Pac-8/Pac-10 teams.
He was famous that day. I think he rushed for over two hundred yards in that game. He went on to have a nice NFL carer with the Rams and 49ers.
