We invited John Grant in to the Strongrooms Studios to film a session, the outcome being a further exemplification of this man's talents... and charm. Here is the song 'Sigourney Weaver'

  • My friend posted this video on the facebook and 10 minutes later I bought the whole album. It's the greatest album I've heard in forever.

  • I saw this performed live at Glastonbury on TV tonight.

  • I know he cites artist such as the Carpenters as an influence but does anyone else hear a hint of Gerry Rafferty?

  • I need John to do the album with just him and piano.

  • Fantastic !!

  • @lovecell Well that comment sucked, and I'm sure you do too ;-°

  • @Arnarstyrb great choice you fool!

  • I was a security guard at his show in Iceland 2 days ago. Unfortunately I had never heard of him and expected him to suck like all the other bands at Airwaves so I decided to stand outside the building :(

  • Anyone who is strong in their approach to their work will always divide opinion. It is only the bland which perhaps has general appeal. To me and many others this man is a genius but if you don't like him just ignore him. He has had enough shit in his life and doesn't need to cope with comments by people who should just move on past to something/someone they like. As the old saying goes"Each to his own"

  • @PaulCoolhugs It sounds like an anthem to me, a real classic. Maybe you don't like americana. The lyrics are great. I like that he names the actors instead of the characters, as it's really about the absurdity of playing in a horror movie.

  • glad most people are loving this album had the honour of tuning the piano at the gate in cardiff in june another star on my list i love my job.J.E. HARRIS Swansea

  • @PaulCoolhugs Wow...what do you listen to that makes this the shittiest you've heard in ages?
