I *think* so yes. You just remap that trigger to a cymbal sound instead of a drum sound. The only difference is that one of the AUX ports has sensors for 3 way triggering (for the higher end cymbal, which includes bell sounds). The others are only 2 way triggering I believe.

There are exactly two aux ports where you can add pads or cymbals.

I just want to ask you about the hi-hat as I'm considering this kit. How many "positions" is there in the hi-hat? So is it like open/closed or can you keep the hat pedal kind of halfway stamped to achieve a half-open hat?

there are multiple positions. you can get closed, open, and a few more sounds in between actually. my only gripe is that some of the hi-hat sounds that come with the kit don't have a very open sound when your foot is off the pedal. other than that, it's pretty darn good!
