"Keepers of the Knowledge" was written in tribute to the Medicine People, the healers in Native American culture. OUT OF RESPECT, THERE ARE NO MEDICINE PEOPLE FEATURED IN THIS VIDEO.The dancer is performing an Aztec exhibition fire ritual. It is purely for entertainment and educational purposes.

Continuing the Wishbone tradition of blending Native American and contemporary musical elements, The Fellas delve even deeper into the culture referencing Native history, spiritual beliefs, folklore, and powwow rhythms!

One fine day, I made my way up the mountain
And then I thought I saw something run across the road (Wohhh!)
Was it in my mind cuz, I could not find nobody
But I know I saw something run across the road!
I heard tell from ol' Ma Bell of people
Who could cast a spell and make you feel alright
But the power they have belong to the Great Spirit
They are all just tools on the mighty game of life...

The Keepers of the Knowledge, they live high on the hill
The Keepers of the Knowledge, they can cure all your ills
The Keepers of the Knowledge, but you must wait until...darkness (x2)

One dark night, I drove with fright up the mountain
And I called out and made a shout or two (HEY!)
I said, "I'm looking for the keepers of the knowledge"
"I need medicine people to help me find the truth"
And out he came, half-blind, half-lame to greet me
And I gave him tobacco as a gift
And he opened my eyes, to my surprise, he helped me
I was broken inside and he helped to repair the rip
