  • I understand what u are saying,... So maybe all the magic shops selling to anyone, and ebay sellers of magic... should stop selling to the bbc. research team..

All the magicians on this show had to work very hard to stop them using all the great stuff they had been sold by sooooooo many respected magic dealers... It's sad...

BUT we all did all we could to save as much as we could,... BBC would have been happy to buy the stuff and teach actors to do it... and exposed everything...

  • I can't believe that the network are this hard up or that desperate. Geeezzzz. Another great and probably irreversible disservice to the art of Legerdemain.

  • @MrOphachew And BTW If any magicians working and being paid to do shows for the public, are doing the kind of magic that an 8 year old can do in 1 hour..???

Well..!!!!! I think that is a MUCH BIGGER DISSERVICE TO THE ART OF MAGIC AND OTHER MAGICIANS...! Much more harm than a silly, fun, sunday morning kids tv show....lol

  • I know how the hanky trick was done u have a fake sking coulourd tube where they have the other hanky

  • @sophieevansmagic --Exposure is exposure. And it is never good for the Art of Legerdemain.

  • @sophieevansmagic--I'll put it to you like this. In my and others experience kids under about the age of twelve don't want to learn the art of magic legerdemain they simply want to you or someone to show them how a trick is done. So from now on if a kid want to learn the art of Legerdemain magic they can go find a trick (and there is plenty of resources out there internet, library, bookstores perhaps too many resources) and perform the trick they find.

  • @sophieevansmagic --If they wanted to show the kiddies counting cards from a Karl Fulves book? and not how change the color of a hanky, fine. But ole Valentino(masked magician) did the art of Legerdemain a vast disservice. And I'm not the only one that feels that way.

  • @sophieevansmagic --Again exposure of anything other than what was already there in the local library 30+ years ago in whole or in part does nothing but a disservice to the art of legerdemain. Legerdemain is an art form not a playtime game for kiddies on the weekend. Don't reduce or cheapen it or down play it. There has been far, far too much exposure in the last ten years. I'm not talking about some thirty plus y.o. book at the local library.

  • @sophieevansmagic --exposure is exposure and it's never good for the art of legerdemain.
