the room I grew up in, shadows, shed windows, bones from an owl pellet, the area behind where I would do laundry, a rainy day, an alley, the ribbons on the backyard tree from a family celebration, Zoë helping granddad, the ceiling spotted from leaks, a reflective heart, a close smile, a nap, water in the dark.
