i know it's complicated. i'll try 2 explain though. Aubrey & Dakota are twins. This virginia moss person gives birth to them at the same time the flemings gave birth. but the flemings actual daughter died in the incubator. so mr fleming raised 1 of virginia's children as his own and paid her money through the mail. the girl that the driver found was dakota because the killer accidently took the wrong girl. so he dressed her in blue so everyone thought she was aubrey. i hope that helps. lol.

no, thats not right at all haha, the killer doesnt dress her in blue first of all because he took the wrong girl. who took aubrey, who he wanted. then he tortured her by cutting off her hand and part of her leg. in the movie they exsplain how some twins have a connection where if something happens to one the same thing happens to the other. which is why dakota also lost her hand and leg. because they're connected.
