Nice video. The sparks go way too fast so it's a sped up video. Not a problem with that since it's boring to see all that in normal motion but.. how long does it really take?

@QSQCaito The video was shown at actual speed. Like most hand held plasma units this one uses compressed air to create the plasma jet. The 100 psi air blast also accelerates the sparks.

home made ? i thought its a professional one before i read the description. btw how much amps and volts and atmospheres are you using for what steel thickness ?

@Choice777 The cut in the video was .086" steel cut at 27 amps and 104 volts. The plasma is self regulated at 100 psi.

@Choice777 I have cut up to 0.375 inch thick. Could cut thicker but I have no need for that at this time.

HI, I making a table similar to this one and I just wonder how can I setup the plasma torch so when the z axis goes up the toch turns off and when it goes down it turns on. I'm using Mach 3 and I have a regular Breakout board. I really have no idea. I will appreciated if you can help me out.
