I promised someone I would give them a quick how-to guide for separating the ink lines in a Pen & Ink drawing into a separate layer in GIMP. Here it is. Prepare to be incredibly bored.
That's amazing. One of the problems I was having is that my scanned copies are not clean. I had no idea you could clean the copies up like this, but I'm new to GIMP.
There always is the option to just use colors>Levels than using the white eyedropper to select one of the smudges the get rid of the greys. Then make a duplicate of the Background layer and setting the new copy of background layer to Multiply. Making a new layer and moving it under the new copy of the background and coloring on the new layer
at 5:14 you lost me, you named one layer paper then suddenly there was "new layer" in its place? then you made another layer and the box closed.. im so confused
thank you very much :D I didn't know of the curve!!! I dind't understand the second part (from the new layers) but this tutorial is very helpful for me :D thanks
how would i do this one photoshop?
