  • Thank you so much for the review. I'm between this one and the Canon 35mm, prime too at f/2 I think. Which one do you recommend?

  • @jocamp5 This lens is much brighter than the 35 f/2 from Canon. But if you plan to move to full frame in the future, the 35 f/2 is an EF lens whereas the sigma is for cropped.

  • is this good for video recording? type my video in youtube. d-bo you dont hear me. will it be simular to that quality?

  • @nishyman Then go for the Samyang/Walimex 35 1.4, it's even better than

    the 35 1.4 L ;)

  • I'm debating between this lens and the Canon 28 f/1.8. I've used this lens before, and the focus ring was really stiff. Was I using a bad copy? Or are all the sigma lenses pretty stiff? How is your focus ring? I've even tried other focal lengths from Sigma, and it seems like they're style is a little stiff. I do more film than photography, so smooth focus is a necessity.

  • Does this make the viewfinder seems bigger and brghter?

  • @jocamp5 Why do you say "upgrade" and not "change" ? :) Switching to a full frame camera does not mean you upgrade ;).

  • @watduzhkstand4

Thanks for reply. I just ordered the Sigma via Amazon ;-) ... Not planning to upgrade to Full Frame anytime soon, but good point!

I think this glass will provide good pictures on my t2i. I mostly take indoor shoots without flash and the overall quality plus price is really a nice combo.

    Thanks again,

  • @Teuton1978 I mentioned that before saying that EF-S lenses can only be mounted on cropped framed bodies. This is what you do. Go to B&H and find any cropped body camera body, 60D, 7D, any rebel, I don't care. Then go under specification and you'll see that it says EF mount.

  • @watduzhkstand4 Alright then, get a ff canon mount an ef-s lens on it and tell me how much they charge you to replace the mirror on the ff, because it hit the end of the ef-s lens. EF and EF-S are different. If you say EF mount, as you did, you are referring to full frame, if you say ef-s you are talking crop sensor. Even if you use the sigma on a ff you get vignetting so useless on a ff. You are welcome.
