JAY BLACK SINGING WITH HIS GROUP JATA'S AND THEY DO A TREMENDOUS JOB WITH THIS OLDIE. PLACED ON THEIR ALBUM ENTITLED "WAS MUSEUM" CIRCA 1970 WHICH WAS THE FOLLOW UP TO "SANDS OF TIME". PRODUCED AND ARRANGED BY JATA'S FOR JATA ENTERPRISES.
"Let It Be Me" is the name of a song written by Gilbert Bécaud, Mann Curtis, and Pierre Delanoë. Originally a French song, a version with English lyrics was introduced by Jill Corey when she performed it on the TV series Climax! In 1957, Corey released her version, with orchestration by Jimmy Carroll, as a single and met with modest success. This song has been sung by Michael Knight (played by David Hasselhoff) in a Knight Rider episode with the same name.

Many other versions of the song have since been recorded:

  • What a beautifil vedio and song what a group jay and thhe american,s were. Such gifted and talented people as were many other group,s of tat era. Unlike the howling hyeanes.s that call themselvs prefomer,s today. Whinning country music and filthy dugisting rap noise not music. Sound effect,s from a tarzen movie when a plane would crash in the jungle.

  • Damn! I never thought anyone could top The Everly Brothers version. I msut humble myself an say I was wrong!

  • This is the best version of this song I have ever head and I've head Glenn Campbel and his daughter sing it live. I like the Everly Bros. version too but this one tops the charts.

  • @NYDutch1968 Yeah...and they always pulled it off without a straight note for note composition. Thats pretty damned daring in itself. A highly under-rated band.

  • The music is fabulous, the acting stupendous. From much pain comes much depth.

  • Everly Brothers' version became very popular in 1965...........

  • Love this song..I don't think anyone can make a bad version of this..I believe the footage is from the movie "August Rush".

  • Good Everly cover! Is this footage from "Felicity" or a movie? - I recognized Keri Russell - -Anyway, thanks for posting!
