Eisler was an interesting man. He's best known for composing "Die Einheitsfront" with Bertolt Brecht.

Eisler was expelled from the US in the late 1940's for Communist activities. The song refers to what Guthrie and others would do if forced to go before the House Un-American Activities Committee to give evidence about him. Getting caught up in this spelled career suicide - less than 10% of people blacklisted ever worked in the industry again.

Im sure Woody Guthrie would have been very proud of the music Billy Bragg + Wilo put to his words.
