  • Alternatives to fossil fuels have been around since at least the beginning of written history. The reason we don't use them is that they are considerably more expensive. We could easily stop using fossil fuels if everybody but the elites didn't mind living in worse conditions than many third world countries. Someday alternative energies may be viable but scientific advances can't be legislated and trying to do so will lower everyone's quality of life (except perhaps the rich and influential).

  • Consulting infrared satellite data (more accurate from fewer systematic errors) in place of surface observation stations shows there has been no significant warming over the past 30 years.

Actually the PDO was in a brief warming phase 2002-2006, although it is cooling now.

If global temps should have cooled by noticeable levels this past decade, then why did the IPCC's central estimates (in 2007, if not 2001) not show any projected cooling at all?

  • Actually you are mostly right. There has been no significant change in global temperatures for the last 10 years when averaged out. However you should know that we are in a cooling phase of the solar cycle, the PDO and ENSO. Global avg temps should have dipped significantly over the warming signal from AGW - but we stayed flat.

  • yeah well when cnn, msnbc, and cbs, abc, and nbc all decide to stop being left-wing then maybe I'll get mad at fox for being right-wing.

  • this isn't a news station, this is pure entertainment wich will destroy the world..

i hope no-one who looks this is thinking they are watching the 'news'. news is independent, and they should talk about facts in a objective way. did you ever see the movie idiocracy?

  • But "energy" and other items on that list are all related to global climate change. So, it may be #20, but it will be in tandem with other items on the list.

  • Cern mid-earth ray bombardment. H-bombs under arctic ice in oil exploration for two of several examples.

  • So to clarify, what "Data"!/DATA are you referring to. Combustion engines produce both CO2 and H2O, which will be locally higher in urban areas. But a lot of visible pollution is actually from fertilization in agriculture where condensation occurs far before RH reaches 100%. There is no evidence, and scale analyses agree, to say human emissions have warmed the ocean temps, changed circ. current or hurricanes. How do humans influence volcanoes?

  • GR: They are! see Nisson in Tennesee plant! More important Murdock just fired CEO, so Horner, Hannity, O'Rielly, & other Faux Cheney-Bush oil-shills will soon go too! Screw your "Data"! City hot-spots have been chem-dumped for years! Look out window- that dust you see rising at rush-hour IS "CLOUDS"! Only FOOLS believe in WORDS, & do not CHECK WITH SENSE DATA REALITY!

  • PhotonDrive, Well if all of that is true, then it would behoove Western nations like the U.S. to invest into this technology.

    But once again ...

"Emissions add cloud, which warms water, which increases Hurricanes, Volcanoes, Changes main circ. current, spreads deserts, kills species."

I cannot agree with because the data simply does not show this.

  • Good Question Green! Today, Carlos Ghosn CEO Nisson-Renault laid out new strategic plans, involving intro of first "Fuel-Free" mass-produced car. It may involve "stimulous" credits & 20 yearold plus plant in Tennessee. THe piecemeal development of small compacts over last 30 years will certainly make Fue-Less change-over quicker & cheaper! Nisson's breakthrough of always-on wheel chargers last year is big factor - all Fuel-Less were 3-wheel types until now 4-wheel is efficient enough.
