Hernando county is and always has been a blue collar community. You can't fault the builders for trying to bring growth to the area, but there isn't enough industry there to support lifestlyles like that. The housing boom and decline hurt a lot more families than we'll ever know, I unfortunately had to leave Brooksville because the excavation company I was working for went out of business.
