The brush I used to blend is at http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/149628/blend-abr.html

1) Blending with the Smudge brush: Pick a textured brush to use as a smudge brush. Turn scattering on and adjust the scatter/count values as needed. Turn the opacity way down or this will be difficult to control.Brush along and the edges and voila!
2) Blending using the Paintbrush: I'm using a simple round brush with spacing set to 1% and opacity and flow set to pressure (click on Other Dynamics in the Brushes tab to get this). With this brush I alt-click on one region to colorpick from there and lightly brush over the other region I want to blend to. Then I colorpick from here and go back to the first region and lightly brush over it again, over and over.

  • smudge tool does not show true clarity in colours. what you have to do is use a graphics tablet and set the size jitter to pen pressure and opacity jitter to pen pressure. then keep sapling nearby colour and pressing very lightly go over them. in your video it shows the colour yellow "magically changing to green then light blue. sorry that is not true clarity

  • Thanks for this video, it really helps me ^_^

  • Hi, I'm doing some cartoon work and wondering what kind of brush would you recommend using for shading the sides of a face? Or shading in general?

  • \(◕∀◕)/

Thank you very much for this video! ♥
