Although this is not the best video (the sound is kinda retarded), I wanted to say:
WE OWN DRUMS!!
I mean I've been around the world and nothing comes even close to our drummers. It makes me so proud! It's time we as Burundians get conscious about what we have and start developing it, and make the world see how rich our culture is. Drums are the best known part of our culture but there are hundreds of different dances, you'd be surprised to see. I mean they're so various for such a small country

Hi , I was in Gishora januari 2010 with the famous "Anthime" , 75 years old and as fit as a 12 year old kid .!! soon i'll let you see some video clip I made.

Gishora is one of the famous drum sites of Burundi. Gishora is perched on the top of a hill at 7km from the urban centre of Gitega The site of Gishora also houses two ritual drums that were never beaten : Ruciteme (the one for whom we clear the forest) and Murimirwa (the one for whom we cultivate).
