@ClarasBeau Obviously your friends were in dire need of an education. Josephine and Jeanette didn't look or sound remotely alike. Both were extremely talents but not the same.

I would like follow in the footsteps of a diva Josephine Baker.

@bobinobaker It's silly to compare these two artists, I agree. That's like saying Lenne Lottke stole Josephine Baker's act.... Huh? It doesn't make sense.

@bunnymize With all due respect for the unique Marlene - Marlene Dietrich, to compare with Josephine Baker, I can not understand completely! The two were totally different. Each one was unique and brilliant - but in the style completely verschieden.Wie You're coming up with the idea to see Marlene Dietrich as a white J.Baker? (Sorry my english is bad)

@ClarasBeau How could you??!!! Having unenlightened friends. You must have terribly low standards

SUPER!!! THANK YOU _ J. BAKER!!!
What a VOICE!...She had to go to France to make it big.. You know why?... I bet you do...
I once played this recording for unenlightened friends, and when I asked who they thought the singer was, they said... Jeanette MacDonald!... No lie...
Telling, no?... I think so...
