- Specialist for latinamerican ethnical dances (Tango Argentino, Tango Nuevo, Salsa...)
He is experienced in all areas of theatre (direction, choreography, staging, light design, etc.); among others he produced and staged in Peru the musical "Luces de Broadway" for which in 1986 he was awarded with the "ASTRO" for the best musical in Peru.

Since 1988 Hernán has lived in Vienna, the city of his choice, where he has found success as a multitalented artist with performances (Hernán Toledo Dance Company) and through his intensive passionally teaching.
Hernán Toledo, counts as founder of the Tango Argentino-scene in Austria, as he brought the Tango Argentino to Austria. He was the first to teach Tango Argentino in Vienna.
In 1992 he founded the TOLEDO TANGO CLUB in Vienna, which became the first meeting-place of the viennese Tango-scene; also he was the organizer of the first Tango Ball at the Hotel Hilton in Vienna, and in1995 he organized the 1. International Tango Argentino Symposiums in Austria (with well known Tango stars like Eduardo Arquimbau, Gustavo Russo, Alejandra Mantiñan, Martha Giorgi, etc...)

Of domestic media magazines named "Tango-God" (Kurier), and
"Tango legend" as active invited artist for the offical summer party 2010 of the austrian Federal Chancellor Faymann, or "Ambassador of Tango" (Radio Ö1/„Leporello"), all these expressive names, are characterizing the specific artistic potential of Hernán Toledo. He developed his own personal Tango Style -- not only in means of step combinations and creations. His distinctive, multi-facetted artistic personality finds special expression in his Tango compositions, which extends from traditional Tango till Tango Nuevo.
Worth mentioning also Hernán Toledo´s artistic contract in 2003/2004 as dance - coach and choreographer of the LISA - Film - ORF/ARD Production "The comeback of the dance instructor" by Henning Mankell, with Maximilian Schell, Tobias Moretti, Veronica Ferres, Werner Prinz, director: Urs Egger.
For this film project Hernán Toledo composed the main musical motif, the Tango "Cristal".
