Linux .VS. XP

linux is much more customizable and much faster. Some linux oses can boot entirly from ram and linux has multiple GUI's KDE Gnome Flu box etc. Linux also is FREE along with the majority of the applications that you can get for it. most linux apps are open source so if you have a way to improve a program there isnt anything holding you back. With windows however you dont even actually own youre operating system microsoft simply licenses it to you. In linux the os is community owned and upkeep is up to the community instead of some over payed microsoft employee who doesn't mind the fact there exploiting public ignorance. Most programs Microsoft or big corporations put out is closed source and you can be fined/arrested for modifying it/ pirating it . Linux allows complete controll over anything you feel is necessary. Linux also is one of the best multi user managing operating systems out there. Microsoft is a single user operating system trying be a multi user operating system. The olny good thing i can think of about any Microsoft's work is that they have successfully monopolized the computing industry so that 40% of people who own a computer have never heard of unix, linux, or Macintosh and no game designer or programmer will even work with anything else to insure they make a profit. If you like to be a sheep use windows :D

@Gerasim9000 You are a dumbass Linux was made for programmers, scripters, engineers and people that develop your windows games so shut up, linux has wonderfull lib of applications and they are all free the only problem is that people dont realize that linux exsist, so then people use commercialized crap from microsoft and Apple i use linux for development, macOSX for secondary development and windows for testing the code !
