Well you wouldn't be walking on to the field it self, you're still behind the security fence. I cant say for sure that they wont give you a hassle, but if its pretty clear you're just there to watch planes, I don't think they'll mind.

thanks, i dont mean to be a pain but, you are allowed to just walk into the field (active)? And, i could just walk into atlantic or hortman if i am not a pilot and they will let me spot????

24 is the longer runway that runs parallel to roosevelt blvd. I used to go with my grandfather and just walk right in, nobody asked any questions. You could also try going through Atlantic Aviation, theyre right next door.

which runway usually has the bigger jets- and more approaches? Thank you sooo much! also, do i just walk into the hortman aviation room, do i need a pass?

I haven't actually been to PNE in quite a while. You should just be able to park at hortman aviation and go in through their office to the gated sitting area between the FBOs and the ramp.
There are also some decent spots to watch along red lion road, especially for runway 24 operations.
For runway 33, you could try somewhere along academy road that borders the east side of the field.

where can i go to spot at KPNE (northeast phila airport)? A road or particular spot is best? Is it allowed? Thanks!

all civilan! my father was a civilan pilot before he joined the army. (he was a blackhawk driver)but of obviously being raised with a pilot was an invaluable asset. but started out in a 300C, and did a lot of left seat with anyone i could till i had the time.
