Kyo Fanvid ~ Shut Me Up [Dir en grey]

MSI. Dynamite band. Their lyrics are like unshed tears (acidic and opaque); always more than what they seem. Lovely brain food they provide.

"I can't wait for you to knock me up..." If you can see beyond the sexual innuendos I believe there are political undertones. I'm sensing a mock of the media and if you don't, I have a big imagination so bare with me. I always envision rebel musicians singing this, waving their freedom flags and coaxing the media powers that be, trying to shake up the system. Is it not true that the media assumes we are it's bitches, all waiting to be governed, told as what to do, how to feel, what to see, what to hear? They 'knock up' the weak ones with their prescription to happiness which is merely an ingredient to maintain hierarchy. But I'll die before they can censor and impregnate me with their faulty ideals.

What can I say? Bands that dish it out bring out the antagonist in me. ha Somehow I think Kyo is not too keen on the way the media works either, he's far from the dog who settles for a bone and a belly rub, wouldn't you say? And so we have this video. And may it pound on your brain and awaken the little voice inside, don't you dare shut your mouth!

End sequence was all in the name of sarcasm. Hence the 'shut up' to close, one could take it as a slap to shallow mindedness. 'Shut up' as in Kyo saying "put a lid on insipid notions that assert I'm only worth what you see. How can you want me (or what you see) when you don't know (or really see) me."

She/He (the maker of the vid) really didn't make it to say "oh,dir en grey made this and they play this song."

A fan video is kinda like a music video a user makes for something like; Kyo of Dir en grey,along with a song they like or see's fit to that person/subject.; shut me up by mindless self indulgence.
