  • Thank you Jason for this song. I have just gone through an unexpected divorce after 22years to a man that was my best friend who I loved and always will so much. It almost killed me. This song speaks volumns to me. It is how I feel and I sing this out loud from the bottom of my heart for all to hear. Praise God for His love and for all He does!!!

  • we condemn ourselves , it isn't God condemning us, if we are truly abiding in Him. And once we are HIS, the enemy wants to continue to torment us with our forgiven sins, but we need to remember we are FORGIVEN, REMADE, NEW! amen!

  • This is not selfish at all. When you accept Christ you are a new creation in him. Anyways, am I the only one who thinks christian songs have just as good rithym than pop. I shared some of these songs on facebook, and I had awsome feedback. Hopefuly they understood what it really meant.

  • Thank you for your kind words. We may disagree completely on this song, but I truly find this song to be a proclamation that we are all God's children and we love us and as a result of the realization of his love for us, we love him back wholeheartedly with joy and gratitude.

  • What exactly is wrong with this song? You think its wrong to celebrate the fact that Christ has made us new?

  • If you feel unworthy, then you have a broken and contrite spirit. That's good. As you seek God with all your heart, and dive into the scriptures. God will send His spirit to lift you up. What you do is not focus on yourself. Just focus on God, praise Him for and in everything, even when you feel He's not listening. These fluffy songs only puff us up, But God's word abides in us forever. When I feel down I read Isaiah 54. It helps a lot. focus on God and he will lift your heart.

  • The reason that Jason makes these songs is to help people combat their unworthiness and realize who they are in Christ. Once they realize this, they are more likely to have a healthy relationship with God and will focus more on Him than moping around thinking about their unworthiness.

  • I really don't want to start an argument. But I don't think that if I feel good and an artist says they're christian it's okay. That's nothing but vapid emotionalism. Take Jamie Grace's song "Hold Me" for example. I am not in a place to condemn her, but I truly don't like the song. Why? Because it sounds really fluffy. In fact, I have a hard time believing this song. I have a hard time believing Remind me Who I am and More Like Falling in Love. Because I feel unworthy.

  • I know I know, you can't understand it right now, because his music feeds the American self centered ego. As long as you feel good and the artist says he/she is christian, then it has to be O.K. . I get your view point on this subject. Just pray about it.

  • How many Christian songs say "I", "me", etc. A lot of them do-which means that you can call those songs selfish too because they're not specifically about worshiping God. They're more about "You rescued me", which is fine. Also, he writes about how the human audience feels, and considering that his main audience are Christians, this song is under the assumption that they have been saved.

  • His songs are jammed full of scripture. What are you talking about? His song is praising God from start to finish about making us new! Are you deaf? Some people...

  • I meant to type "His songs are really selfish" plural. His songs are manly just about him. There's no real praise to God. Anyone can say they are new, former drug addicts, alcoholics, liars and murderers can all say that they are new, without being saved by Christ. Any music that is to be made with the title "Christian" is to follow the example of scripture. In scripture, we are to direct all instances of music to the praise of God and Jesus.

    Have a good day.
