This is my opinion. And when I say underrated, I mean that they should have a lot more publicity and be a lot more famous than they are.

There is no copyright infringement intended. This video could be educational because it could introduce newer guitarists to a guitar virtuoso they had never previously heard of.

  • What do you mean??? Not one of these guitar players is underrated

  • @gijsvandersluijs When I say underrated, I mean that they should have got more mainstream attention for their playing than what they did. They are all amazing guitarists, which is why they're on this list, but none of them have the notoriety of say Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, or Eric Clapton.

  • Paul Kossoff was a superb player and would have been up there with the best if it wasn't for his premature demise from drug misuse

  • wheres mick ronson from ziggys spiders??

or michael schenker from ufo/ scorpions (higly underrated)

even george harrisons gotta get a mention

great list though Rorys my fav !!!!!!!!!

  • Gary Moore is the king of the guitar! Doug Aldrich and Jeff Healey should be on here too! But I'd say that Kossoff, Beck, Gallagher and Blackmore are well known. What song is Kossoff playing?

  • Jeff Beck is one of my fav guitarists

  • What's up with Trevor Rabin(ex-Yes)? How about Steve Howe too? Maybe they're in the vid, but it kept stopping after 1:24, but I doubt they were.

  • @MrticTac921 I agree with all of those

  • sorry to tell you that the reason why most of these people on your underrated list didn't go main stream is because of the fact they never played anything different it's always the same shit over and over and over it gets kind of tired after awhile

  • @gijsvandersluijs gary moore was my biggest influence

  • Considering you focused on the 60s/70s era, the 90s/00s era list should be: Johnny Greenwood(Radiohead), Mike McCready(Pearl Jam), Kim Thayil (soundgarden), Omar Rodriguez -Lopez( Mars Volta)

  • I would have had to include Mick Ronson on this ...he did all of the heavy lifting for Bowie when Bowie was just catching fire with Ziggy Stardust and didn't get shit for it
