At the end of the 7th Trio Fantasy Camp in 2006, John was having a goodbye brekafast with three old and dear friends. George Yanok and Tom DeLisle, both writers who worked for many years in Hollywood, and Grammy award winning photographer Henry Diltz. Get-out-of-town day is always the saddest because you know it will be a year before you see each other again.
John wrote this song that morning. Henry and I asked him late Friday night or early Saturday morning if he would sing it at the last performance of Trio Fantasy Camp 8. John said he would do it if Henry would write the lyrics out for him. Henry forgot.
The heads in the front row are Henry and Buffy Ford Stewart.
If you were ever a "camper" then you have the comfort of knowing this song John wrote was about you. That's darn special.

JOHN STEWART DIED TODAY.
In case you have not heard, John Stewart passed away this morning from a massive stroke he suffered on Thursday night. He and Buffy were visiting Nick Reynolds and his wife in San Diego. They had a great evening, dinner, followed by listening to John's album newest album. John passed out, and never regained consciousness.
He died in the very hospital he was born in, in San Diego surrounded by Buffy, his children, and his closest family and friends.
