Many of us have been waiting to see what this new JR 11X radio is all about. It certainly has a unique look that makes it stand out at any field but I wanted to know more about the features it offers. When I started digging into this one, I was amazed with all of its new features. The programming is easy but there are more features than I can possibly describe so I had John Diniz, JR Category manager, come in and show us what this radio is all about. Features like the large backlit display, 11 channel servo synchronization, 2048 resolution and AutoAssign switch selection are just the tip of this iceberg! The pricing of this radio puts it in the reach of sport flyers as well as experts and programming for airplane, sailplane and helicopter model types means it will support any model you might want to fly.

Watch our video discussion of the features this radio offers. I think you will be looking for it as soon as it becomes available.

  • @PHeMoX thanks but I will go with a jr x9503 or jr 11x! I really like jr but is 22ms slow?

  • @sahand293 Which doesn't change the fact that many transmitters were designed with airplanes in mind and not so much helicopters, so there's definitely things you should take into consideration when it comes to hands-on functionality.

I'd research the transmitters you're looking into very carefully and there are less expensive but great alternatives! :)

  • @Joseph4Lakers None of the above if you're just starting out as they're all really expensive. But JR is definitely best, then comes Futaba, then Spektrum.

Spektrum is the most affordable, but unless you go for the DX8 it doesn't come with a knob you can use to set the gyro gain and hover pitch directly. Its useful to have turning knobs for that.

As long as you've got at least 6 channels on a radio, you can fly helicopters with them, but if you're buying an expensive radio go for 8 channels.

  • nice radio just way to expensive

  • @Joseph4lakers,you can use all of them for

Helicopter and aircraft, because all of this transmitter are

the best and Prof transmitter that you can get it.

  • Spektrum, Futaba or JR Please help which one for helicopters

  • I liked the review and the function of the radio but seriously.....

This would have to be one of the ugliest radios JR have ever made!

In all honesty it may well be the best thing since sliced bread but I wouldn't own it if it was given to me for free, looks like ill stick with the 9X II.

Mister JR you need to kick someone's ass! this is the radio version of the Australian ford AU, not a bad car to drive but butt ugly!!!!!!

  • I love this transmitter.

  • Are there quad ball bearing gimbals?

  • @lay3Rv2 I believe yup can use the Spektrum receivers as well.

  • @colk25446 Oh well.

  • @TheTechnoRat don't be mad that you paid double for one extra channel and that your 12x isn't the king shit anymore

  • Looks very much like the new Futaba 8 Channel Radio not sure of the model name but its a new futaba FASST radio

  • GREAT review!!!

  • What good is a 11 channel transmitter if you have to use a 921 receiver that only has 9 channels? Can you use a 12x receiver, if so, why didn't jr just add another channel for this new radio? I don't get it.

  • @shangsandy87 Its so nine months from now they can introduce a new version with a color screen and backlight and get you to buy both of them.

  • To each his own. I love the design since the first time JR debuted it last year.

  • Very nice interface and a good price too, but the raised center section ruins the looks of the radio in my opinion :( It looks like a huge nose lol

  • thats an ugly RADIO.

  • John and Jim - what would we do without you? thanks a bunch for all your help!
