I am pretty sure when Mr. Mandela was sitting in jail how a woman wore her hair was the furthest thing from his mind. Even though their are a hand full of people who want to change their identity with extensions... most woman only use it as an accessory. People have the right... black included to do what ever they like with their hair and not be judged for it... there are more pressing matters than hair...

see comments about weaves. How do you know that it's a weave? And not a perm or wig or something? Curious cause I know what a weave is sort of just haven't seen one yet or maybe I have and just didn't notice it.
