i usually get arcane boots for lich, especially when your team is in need of some extra mana burst. i never have problems with mana on lich because of it. also, i'd get a couple bracers for the sake of some extra hp and survivability, and later upgrading it to drum/janggo in a later stage.

@lvling Sacrifice arguments:
I don't think it makes a big differences all together. I personally prefer stats due to having higher raw hp/mp works out better for me. Considering natural regen, the mass availability of things like Arcane boots / Basil ring, more often than not, I think skipping Sacrifice is okay. However, if you feel that leveling Sacrifice suits your play style, then by all means go for it. Dota isn't an exact science, so don't treat it as such
