  • yeah, if only people knew how hard leaping around on artificial harmonics is :D Shostakovich must have fallen out with a certain cellist the day he wrote this :P

    The version from the armenian conservatory is much better

  • pretty original beginning in this trio with the low sounding cello on the high registers and the high sounding violins on the low registers. joyful and harmonoiusly happy 1st movement!

  • Outstanding- this piece is the epitome of melancholy. The cellist is great- false harmonics are a real pain to play.
