  • It is so awesome of you to do this, breaking down Jerry's playing in the detail you do. It's invaluable to have a visual of the positions and fingerings as you replicate them, but the best part is your commentary, and the explainations you give for some of the logic behind Jerry's note choices/preferences. The best is when you say "So he can make a big production out of going from A to D" ...LOL!!! That's just awesome. Please continue your work. This is phenomenal. Thank so much...

  • @84trive Hey, thanks for the feedback. ha. It's the feedback that has inspired me and spurred me on. Cheers.--Seth

  • Thank you!! I like taking these riffs, changing them up, and incorporating them into other songs done by the Grateful Dead plus other artists. Your work is very much appreciated!!

  • Amazing work! How do you go about dissecting this stuff. You do an incredible job. Do you write out any tabs for this or is it all memorized. If you have tabs, I'd love to take a look, but if not you've done more than enough already. I'm subscribed...keep 'em coming my man!

  • joy!

  • what envelope filter are you using here?

  • Again - Awesome! You mentioned that you may do Cumberland (hope so). If I can, would suggest an early to mid 80's version. While I know the solo is in G Blues scale mainly, it is the phrasing and licks that always throw me. 12.31.82 is a great example of Jerry flying on this...Also, the end of the song chord progession always throws me.

    Keep up the great work!

  • Keep the "tasty" licks coming !

  • sounds great!
