This is a video dealing with Brainoutys video attacking bbbfohio stating that he didn't know Greek because he supported the King James reading in Acts 8:37.
In fact, it is Brainouty who shows her own lack of knowledge of Greek by appealing to the 'kai' in Acts 8:38, as if it MUST refer to only Acts 8:36.
In fact, a question is asked in Acts 8:36, which if Acts 8:37 is omitted, is left unanswered. All the modern Gr. texts have Acts 8:36 as a question.
The reason that the verse is left out of many modern versions (but not all) is due to the issue of manusrcript evidence, not the Greek text.
The textual evidence is cited below
....the passage also appears in a vast number of other Old Latin manuscripts (such as l, m, e, r, ar, ph, and gig). It also is found in the Greek Codex E (eighth century) and several Greek manuscripts (36, 88, 97, 103, 104, 242, 257, 307, 322, 323, 385, 429, 453, 464, 467, 610, 629, 630, 913, 945, 1522, 1678, 1739, 1765, 1877, 1891, and others). While there are differences even among these texts as to precise wording, the essence of the testimony still remains where it has been removed from other manuscripts.[24] Additionally, Irenaeus (202 AD), Cyprian (258 AD), Ambrosiaster (forth century), Pacian (392 AD), Ambrose (397 AD), Augustine (430 AD), and Theophylact (1077 AD) all cite Ac 8:37.'

  • You are quite wrong about Cyprian, he does quote it.

    In the section Testimonies

    43. That he who believes can immediately obtain (i.e., pardon and peace).

In the Acts of the Apostles: "Lo, here is water; what is there which hinders me from being baptized? Then said Philip, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest."

    Augustine-Sermon 49

immediately requesting to be baptized, he said, I believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God."

  • Can you tell us which writings of Ambrosiaster, Pacian and Augustine cite this, since I want to check it out for myself? I know for a fact Cyprian doesn't quote it. He only quotes Acts 8:36.

  • ....Brainoutys' whole shtick has to with supporting the Roman Gnostic view, in that each of us can become Jesus Christ, primarily by worshiping a female deity. Acts 8:37 serves to destroy that nonsense as it plainly points out who we worship...Jesus Christ and he alone. All this has to do with thier "spritual leader" Simon Magus who hi-jacked the Roman church. He is the real "Peter" of Rome.

  • 'Brainouty' has seen ' the original Greek Text'... just ask her.

  • But, the more important thing is that you hit the nail on the head regarding her false accusations against the infallible King James Bible.

She can malign me all she wants. I've come to enjoy it, brother! But when she attacks that Book... she needs to be exposed and corrected because, as crazy as she might be, the content of her accusations must be corrected for the sake of those who might be able to get past her lunacy and be impacted by her words.

    Good work!

  • Thank you, brother!

A friend had sent me the link to her video and, at first, I thought it was a joke. Then I realized this poor thing was SERIOUS.

I shared this with our small church family and when I told them that she accused me of being a charlatan trying to make money, somehow, everyone in the place about fell out of their chair laughing! It's been our stated purpose since our beginning in 2006 to make our teaching FREE or next to nothing (asking to cover costs of CD's, DVD's, etc.).

  • Amen and amen, Brother Ed!

Thank you for uploading this timely and edifying expose of apostate Alexandrian cultism.

"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe" (1Thessalonians 2:13).

    God speed!

  • great work as usual!
