Yes, the cage needs to be big enough so that your iguana has enough room to jump and move around. You also need to take him out of the cage so he gets to move around freely... every day preferably. Large cages for small baby iguanas are not generally good because 1. they could escape from large openings, 2. they could get lost in the cage, 3. they could get hurt from falling too far.

online it says to start off with a large cage so you dont have to keep making bigger and bigger cages.... if they can jump in the wild they can jump in a cage..

i would but i dont know where to adopt them from

There are lots of great iguanas up for adoption that need homes. Why not consider adopting one instead of buying one?
Do you handle ur iguana much?
My aunt had a green iguana (bout 2 feet long ) and my mom thinks their aggressive but he had a narrow cage...long but narrow and was very squirmy cuz she never handled him =( I want one! ha baby one tho

Yes, both of my iguanas get handled every day. If they are in cages, especially if they are in small cages, they should be let out to walk around. Actually iguanas feel more comfortable in tall cages so they can climb up and down.
